Volleyball Game Preview: Paxton Tigers vs. Wynot Blue Devils

The Paxton Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Wynot Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Paxton lost 3-0 to Hitchcock County on Monday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Wynot had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win.

Wynot not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wausa between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-17.

Paxton better keep an eye on Kiera Heimes. She was instrumental in Wynot's win, getting eight digs.

Wynot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matches.

Wynot's victory bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Paxton, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-13.
