1. Barrington
2013-14 finish: 23-5
Head coach: Patrick Sullivan

After averaging 23.5 points as a junior, Corey Daugherty is back, and gives Barrington one of the state's top guards. The team's second-leading scorer, Kevin Mannix, is also back. Six-foot-8 junior Matt DeWolf gives Barrington a formidable presence in the post.

2. La Salle Academy (Providence)
2013-14 finish: 23-2
Head coach: Eric Simonelli

Ten returning lettermen give head coach Eric Simonelli plenty of experience on this year's squad. Leading the way is returning all Division I-North pick Brenden Nigro. Junior point guard Lawrence Sabir, who led the team in scoring at times last year as a sophomore, is another reliable weapon.

3. North Kingstown
2013-14 finish: 22-6
Head coach: Aaron Thomas

With the football season wrapped up, quarterback Matthew Madoian will resume his role as the team's star shooting guard. The team will miss 6-7 center Grant Gillis, but 6-2, 265-pound Dylan Garcia should be a force down low. Dave Poirier, another football player trading the gridiron for the hardwood, is back at small forward.

4. Classical (Providence)
2013-14 finish: 16-11
Head coach: John Kavanagh

Kealen Ives is gone, so look for Will Leviton and junior Bryce Daily to step up their contributions. The duo combined to score 15 points per game last season. Six-foot-5 Jamari Johnson, who saw limited action as a freshman, could see a larger role as a 10th-grader.

5. Bishop Hendricken (Warwick)
2013-14 finish: 19-8
Head coach: Jamal Gomes

With experience in the backcourt and frontcourt, Bishop Hendricken will be a state title contender. Guard Matt Duffie, a second team all-state selection last year, leads the way. Senior Ira Lough (6-5) powers the front court.
