Volleyball Recap: San Jacinto Tigers vs. West Valley Mustangs

San Jacinto lost against West Valley back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The San Jacinto Tigers fell 3-1 to the West Valley Mustangs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While San Jacinto ultimately came up short, they really made West Valley work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16.

West Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Deonys Ioane out in front who had 15 digs, five kills, and a block. Ioane is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Hubbell, who had 17 digs, ten kills, three aces, and a block.

San Jacinto's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for West Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Jacinto will challenge Elsinore at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Valley, they will take on Temescal Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
