Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Takes a Loss

Carlsbad and Hobbs pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Hobbs, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Cavemen/Cavegirls fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Carlsbad haven't had much luck with Hobbs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Carlsbad's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-10-3. As for Hobbs, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Carlsbad will take on Clovis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hobbs, they have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Rio Grande on the 9th.
