Softball Recap: Gordo Find Success

Gordo won the last time they faced Berry and things went their way on Friday too. The Gordo Green Wave walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Berry Wildcats.

Brooklyn Khune was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Lila Billings also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Gordo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Berry suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Gordo will head out to square off against Lamar County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berry, they will welcome South Lamar at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
