O'Connor is 9-1 against Mountain Ridge since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will host the Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

O'Connor is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Liberty on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles were outmatched by the Lions and fell 49-17. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

O'Connor might have lost, but man, Jeremy Adeyanju was a machine: he rushed for 132 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge had to suffer through a 59-26 loss at the hands of Shadow Ridge. The Mountain Lions were down 39-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

O'Connor will have to contain Lukas Baughman as he made an impact in Mountain Ridge's last game. He threw for 250 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. That rushing touchdown marked the first that Baughman has punched in this season.

Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for O'Connor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

O'Connor skirted past Mountain Ridge 28-25 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Mountain Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
