Whitko piles up the points against Lakewood Park Christian

In what's become a running theme this season, the Whitko Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 68-41 victory over Lakewood Park Christian at home. Winning may never get old, but Whitko sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Whitko's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayma Stonebraker, who scored five points along with nine assists and six steals. That's the first time this season that Stonebraker posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kloe Krieg, who scored 14 points.

Lakewood Park Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Mcgrade, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 36.6% of Lakewood Park Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lilia West was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Whitko's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitko's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on January 13th. Southwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Whitko is ranked 114th). As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
