Pacific Lutheran is still winless after their game against Compton Early College on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix. The match marked the first time this year in which the Stingrays were not able to get on the board.

Pacific Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Compton Early College, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Pacific Lutheran and Compton Early College could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Pacific Lutheran (ranked 1286th) will meet Price (ranked 182nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Compton Early College will face off against Shalhevet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 650 places (946 vs. 296).
