Basketball Recap: Morgan Crutcher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fayette Ware over Jackson Christian

Fayette Ware came up into this matchup off a tough 30-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Jackson Christian Eagles by a score of 67-64 on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayette Ware lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Morgan Crutcher, who posted 27 points and six rebounds. Crutcher is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ke'Miyah Buggs was another key player, putting up 17 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Fayette Ware now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Jackson Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Fayette Ware and South Gibson will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jackson Christian, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Jackson Christian Eagles duke it out with the Jackson South Side Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
