Softball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Lancers vs. Sahuaro Cougars
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salpointe Catholic). They put the hurt on the Sahuaro Cougars with a sharp 19-1 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Audri Elias looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Kenzi Daley was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Neveah Tapia, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
