Basketball Recap: Tarpon Springs Takes a Loss

Tarpon Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 33-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Bears.

Shyla Morales was Tarpon Springs' leading scorer, having posted ten points. Tula Diamantaras held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Delanee Duncan, who posted six points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaniyah Miodowski, who earned six points and ten boards.

Tarpon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Central, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Tarpon Springs has already played their next matchup, a 26-21 victory against Pasco on the 17th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-13 loss against Lecanto on the 17th.
