Waterloo waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Triad Knights by a score of 21-14. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Triad still got an impressive performance from Jacob Odle, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Odle has become a key player for the Knights: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Triad also got a significant boost from John Holloway, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.

Waterloo's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Triad, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterloo will square off against Rochelle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Triad, they will face off against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Kahoks at the right time seeing as the Kahoks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
