Basketball Recap: Lutheran-Northeast's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Lutheran-Northeast's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They received a blow as they fell 46-31 to the West Holt Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Huskies are ranked 26th).

Lutheran-Northeast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cole Lawless, who posted 11 points. Gavin Feddern was another key player, putting up ten points.

Lincoln Konrad was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds for West Holt. Konrad has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Nemetz, who had four points and eight rebounds.

Lutheran-Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for West Holt, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles take on the Pierce Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Holt, they will take on Stuart at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
