Volleyball Recap: Shiocton Triumphs

Shiocton had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cashton Eagles 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted since September 3, 2024.

Natalie Young paced Shiocton's offense, picking up seven kills. Young got some help from Brooke Beschta and her nine assists. Young was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Shiocton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wonewoc-Center on the 26th. As for Cashton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Viroqua on the 26th.
