Caitlin Brooks put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in March on Wednesday. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She was up against Webb and has quite the history against that squad, as she also had a great game the last time she faced them back in March of 2024. Brooks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
