Softball Recap: Fonda-Fultonville Comes Up Short

If Fonda-Fultonville was riding high fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Gloversville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valley Hawks lost 12-4 to the Galway Golden Eagles on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Taylre Watterson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Ellana Dineen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Fonda-Fultonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Galway, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
