Basketball Recap: Rockford East Takes a Loss

Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Hononegah Indians, falling 82-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the E-Rabs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-29 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Rockford East lost, don't look at Promise Crawford. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points.

Rockford East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Hononegah, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

Rockford East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-24 loss against Freeport on the 31st. Hononegah has also already played their next contest, a 48-38 win against Belvidere North on the 31st.
