Basketball Game Preview: St. David's Warriors vs. North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights + How To Watch

The St. David's Warriors will head out to face off against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. David's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully North Raleigh Christian Academy likes a good challenge.

St. David's will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating South Wake, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Warriors took down the Sabres 71-55 on Tuesday. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, North Raleigh Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 39-35 to Cary Christian. North Raleigh Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Cary Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

St. David's pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

St. David's barely slipped by North Raleigh Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, winning 57-56. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Knights' Parker Hodgson, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 19 points and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for the Warriors to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
