Basketball Recap: Cam Sutphin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Narrows

Eastern Montgomery hadn't done well against Narrows recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eastern Montgomery Mustangs came out on top against the Narrows Green Waves by a score of 69-58. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Green Waves two weeks ago, they had to take a 71-51 loss.

Eastern Montgomery's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cam Sutphin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Sutphin a new career-high in shooting accuracy (55%). Another player making a difference was Kellan Stewart, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Narrows still got an impressive performance from Hunter Owens, who went 7 of 11 en route to 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Carter Holmes was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Eastern Montgomery's record now sits at 11-6. As for Narrows, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
