Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chapel Hill). They came out on top against the Excel Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 53-42 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addi Russell, who posted 14 points. Paydan Handlin was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Chapel Hill's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Excel Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Chapel Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-7 loss against Saltillo on the 12th. Excel Christian Academy has also already played their next contest, a 49-47 defeat against Ector on the 12th.
