Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Edge). They managed a 76-70 win over the Youngker Roughriders on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Scorpions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Youngker still got an impressive performance from Ares Chambers, who posted 26 points. The matchup was Chambers' third in a row with at least ten points. Jeremie (JJ) Songolo was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Desert Edge's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Youngker, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Desert Edge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 104-39 loss against Canyon View on the 21st. As for Youngker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-36 win against Fairfax on the 23rd.
