Basketball Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Milton Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Pace Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Milton Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Pace has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Pace will head into Thursday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 32-point drubbing they dealt Walton on Thursday. Pace claimed a resounding 56-24 win over Walton. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Braves are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Milton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Navarre 38-34.

Milton's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Pace, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Pace beat Milton 40-33 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pace since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
