Soccer Game Preview: Catholic vs. Mandeville

Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Central 4-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Catholic's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Central are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, Mandeville kept a clean sheet against Covington on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for Mandeville, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Mandeville's victory bumped their record up to 17-7-5. As for Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 16-6-2.

Catholic opened the new year with a less-than-successful 2-0 defeat to Mandeville. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
