They came out on top in a nail-biter against Waccamaw and snuck past 46-43. Given Dillon's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Waccamaw is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dillon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Shawn Samuel, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and three steals.
