Volleyball Recap: Emma Yonkers-Talz Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Fontbonne Hall Academy

After losing to Fontbonne Hall Academy the last time they met, Maria Regina decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers came out on top against the Bonnies by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Maria Regina was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 17-25, 25-6, 25-19.

Maria Regina's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Yonkers-Talz led the charge by getting 13 assists and seven digs. What's more, Yonkers-Talz posted three kills, the most she's had since back in September. Francesca Sindona was another key player, getting six kills, four blocks, and three digs.

Maria Regina's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1.
