Basketball Recap: Jermauri Evans and Daveion Richardson Secure Win for Northwest Halifax + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northern Nash, Northwest Halifax was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 56-43 win over the Beddingfield Bruins.

Leading Northwest Halifax to victory were Daveion Richardson and Jermauri Evans. Richardson dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Evans shot 56% from the field en route to 13 points and six boards. Richardson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Jeffery Mills was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

Beddingfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rashad Williams, who posted 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jah'Zyvion Barnes, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

The victory got Northwest Halifax back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Halifax will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Edgecombe at 7:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Beddingfield, they will head out to take on Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
