Softball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Byron Nelson Bobcat. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcat this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in March.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Byron Nelson, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11-1 record this season.

Northwest will head out to face off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Trojans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Byron Nelson, they will host Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.55 runs per game on average), something the Bobcat will no doubt try to take advantage of.
