Pfaff sets Oklahoma passing record

Atoka senior now has 9,849 yards; Barry Sanders Jr. scores 5 touchdowns; Swindall returns three interceptions for TDs

There were heroics galore in Oklahoma football on Friday night, according to the Oklahoman.

As expected, Atoka (Okla.) senior quarterback L.T. Pfaff shattered the state’s career passing record. Needing just 118 yards, he exploded for 392 yards and four touchdowns en route to a 41-13 victory over Hugo. The new record stands at 9,849 yards with more than half of a season remaining. * Barry Sanders Jr. ran 13 times for 313 yards and scored five touchdowns as unbeaten Heritage Hall-Oklahoma City, Okla. (5-0) rolled past Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool (Okla.), 52-34.

* Millwood (Oklahoma City, Okla.) senior defensive back Brandon Swindall had four interceptions – returning three of them for touchdowns of 87, 77 and 18 yards – during a 60-6 rout of Luther (Okla.).
