Sierra came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Parlier Panthers a 10-0 shutout. The Chieftains' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four games.

Zach Lloyd was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Young, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Sierra hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.

Sierra's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Parlier, they dropped their record down to 3-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sierra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-6 victory against Sanger West on the 24th. As for Parlier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 23-1 loss against Liberty on the 25th.
