Football Recap: Fuqua Takes a Loss

Fuqua fell victim to Greenbrier Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Gators 50-0. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row dating back to last season.

Tucker Basnight went supernova For Greenbrier Christian Academy., rushing for 251 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Basnight really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Moravec, who threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Fuqua's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fuqua will face off against Brunswick Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Broadwater Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
