Boonville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Forest Park Rangers with a sharp 11-1 win. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Boonville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Boonville and Forest Park are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Pioneers will face off against Evansville Bosse at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Forest Park, they will welcome Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
