Baseball Recap: Woodmont Takes a Loss

Woodmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lucy Beckham Bengals. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly two runs.

Woodmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lucy Beckham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodmont will take on Greenville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something Woodmont will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lucy Beckham, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Bishop England at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
