Basketball Recap: Assumption Comes Up Short

Assumption came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 53-16 defeat at the hands of the Glen Oaks Panthers. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Assumption's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Glen Oaks, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Coming up, Assumption will take on Vandebilt Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glen Oaks, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 28-27 defeat against Covington on the 13th.
