Soccer Recap: Newcastle Takes a Loss

Newcastle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Torrington Trailblazers, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Newcastle of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of James Brown, which was the first he's scored this season.

Newcastle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Torrington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Newcastle is set to take on their familiar foe Buffalo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Torrington will face off against rival Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
