Basketball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge lost against Bay back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valley Forge Patriots took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bay Rockets. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while the Rockets are ranked 283rd).

Valley Forge is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Bay, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When Valley Forge and Bay next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Valley Forge will try to stop Buckeye's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bay will take on Lakewood and their six-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
