Baseball Game Preview: Rice Consolidated Raiders vs. Edna Cowboys

For the second straight game, Rice Consolidated will face off against Edna. The Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rice Consolidated has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 8.

Rice Consolidated fell victim to Edna and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys.

Keenan Hailey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Rice Consolidated saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Rodgers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Rice Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Edna, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.
