Softball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Frostproof can now relate to. They fell just short of the Avon Park Red Devils by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Menzie Neal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalayjah Robey, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Frostproof's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Avon Park, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Frostproof does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Avon Park, they will take on Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
