Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County suffered their closest defeat since April 3rd on Monday. They fell just short of the Page Patriots by a score of 9-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Hana Corder made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Lincoln County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-16-2 record this season. As for Page, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Lincoln County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Page, they will be taking part in a tournament against Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
