Volleyball Game Preview: Millard North Mustangs vs. Millard West Wildcats

Millard North is 1-9 against Millard West since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Wildcats. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Millard North beat Lincoln North Star 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Navigators: they've now won four in a row.

Millard North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

Millard North had a senior duo take command as Marley Tracy had seven digs and three aces and Hayden Sliva had 14 digs and two assists. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Tracy.

Meanwhile, Millard West got the win against Grand Island on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Millard West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12, 25-21.

Millard West's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Millard North, their win bumped their record up to 12-13.
