Softball Recap: Bishop's Takes Down Mission Bay in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Bishop had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mission Bay Buccaneers 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Buccaneers back in March, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

The team relied heavily on Jayla Stafford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

The win was the fourth in a row for Bishop's, bringing their record up to 14-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mission Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

As of now, neither Bishop's nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
