Basketball Recap: Hilary Ray's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oakland-Craig over North Bend Central

If Oakland-Craig was feeling good fresh off their 51-30 takedown of Clarkson/Leigh last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Oakland-Craig Knights fell 54-42 to the North Bend Central Tigers on Thursday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Oakland-Craig lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hilary Ray, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Briar Ray, who had ten points.

Oakland-Craig's loss dropped their record down to 17-3. As for North Bend Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Oakland-Craig has already played their next game, a 60-41 win against West Point-Beemer on the 8th. As for North Bend Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-42 defeat against Pender on the 8th.
