After a string of four wins, Richmond's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Indians. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Red Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Darwyn Roman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Richmond's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Anderson, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

While Richmond had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
