 Platteview scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Ralston Rams with a sharp  10-4 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for Platteview as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Platteview got a great performance from  Griffin Saunders as he  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Tayt Frauendorfer was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Nathan Thomas was another key contributor,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  runs and a  triple.
 On Ralston's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Wyatt Gettman, who  went 3-for-4 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 Platteview's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ralston, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 11 matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platteview will  take on Wayne at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Wayne knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Platteview likes a good challenge. As for Ralston, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Platte Valley at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
