Basketball Game Preview: Highland Prep Honey Badgers vs. Kingman Bulldogs

The Highland Prep Honey Badgers will take on the Kingman Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Highland Prep's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Kingman has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Last Wednesday, Highland Prep earned a 56-47 win over River Valley.

Highland Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrance Byrd out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aeden Calini, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 19 boards.

Meanwhile, Kingman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 58-53 to Kingman Academy.

Highland Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Kingman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Everything came up roses for Highland Prep against Kingman in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 61-34 win. Will Highland Prep repeat their success, or does Kingman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
