Basketball Recap: Alba-Golden Takes a Loss

Alba-Golden lost against Frankston back in December of 2014 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Alba-Golden Panthers took a blow against the Frankston Indians, falling 97-36. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1311th, while the Indians are ranked 476th).

Alba-Golden has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Frankston, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alba-Golden Panthers duke it out with the Cayuga Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frankston, they will challenge Martins Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Martins Mill likes a good challenge.
