Basketball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Dixie Flyers

Crimson Cliffs hasn't had much luck against Dixie recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will be playing at home against the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Crimson Cliffs came up short against Pine View and fell 55-44.

Despite the loss, Crimson Cliffs got top-tier performance from Coco Korella, who posted 15 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Whittaker, who put up eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Dixie hadn't done well against Cedar recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Dixie walked away with a 58-47 victory over Cedar.

Dixie's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Crimson Cliffs, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Crimson Cliffs was taken down by Dixie 66-33 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Crimson Cliffs, Hali Smith (who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, nine boards, and nine steals) won't be suiting up this time.
