Softball Recap: New Albany Comes Up Short

New Albany's last matchup with Alcorn Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. New Albany lost 8-1 to Alcorn Central. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

New Albany's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Alcorn Central, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

New Albany and Alcorn Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time New Albany sees the field they'll take on Independence at 6:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Alcorn Central, their break will end when they face Mantachie at 6:30 p.m. on April 1.
