After flying high against Abilene last Tuesday, Cooper came back down to earth. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Memorial Mavericks who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Memorial Mavericks got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Cooper Cougars' four. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cooper and Memorial will both be playing Legacy the next time they take the pitch. Memorial will host Legacy on Tuesday, while Cooper will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th.
