Softball Game Preview: Jamaica Beavers vs. Queens Teaching Tigers

The Jamaica Beavers will challenge the Queens Teaching Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Jamaica will be strutting in after a win while Queens Teaching will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Jamaica got the win against Beach Channel by a conclusive 16-1. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Queens Teaching was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 23-7 to Edison.

Jamaica is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Queens Teaching, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Jamaica couldn't quite get it done against Queens Teaching in their previous matchup back in April of 2017 as they fell 8-3. Can the Beavers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
