Basketball Recap: Cape Cod Academy Takes a Loss

If Cape Cod Academy was riding high fresh off their 101-23 takedown of Sturgis West on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seahawks fell 76-70 to the Carver Crusaders on Friday. The Seahawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the loss, Cape Cod Academy still got an impressive performance from Mike Berry, who went 10-for-14 on his way to 30 points and seven boards. Berry is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Cody Tolley was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 14 points.

Cape Cod Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Carver, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cape Cod Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Sandwich at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carver, they are taking a road trip to face off against Abington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
